1 teen dead in California motor vehicle collision

A California teenager was killed in a recent motor vehicle accident in California. The occurred on a Wednesday evening. These kinds of accidents are usually the result of negligence by one or more drivers.

How the accident happened

The Fresno County crash happened occurred at a little past 6 p.m. According to police, a car carrying four teenagers was going south on Madsen Avenue. The driver apparently tried to turn right onto another roadway, but his speed was too fast to allow him to complete the turn. Police noted that the roads were wet at the time. Sadly, the vehicle veered in another direction and ended up in a nearby canal.

Three of the teenagers, ages 17 to 18, managed to escape the car. One of them, an 18-year-old, was apparently the driver. However, the remaining passenger, an 18-year-old boy, did not escape the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Police apparently ruled out alcohol and drugs as causal factors in the collision, but the tragedy remains under investigation.
