California motor vehicle collision leads to 3 injuries

Three people were injured recently in a rollover motor vehicle crash in California. The accident took place on Highway 99 at an on-ramp. It occurred on a Saturday evening.

Events leading up to the crash

The California wreck occurred at around 11:30 p.m. According to police, a pickup truck sideswiped another motor vehicle, left the roadway and went down a road embankment. Police said the truck then flipped over, crashed into an electric fence and hit two RVs.

Authorities said one passenger was ejected from the pickup truck. A second passenger and the driver, 17, also suffered injuries in the crash. Authorities said the injuries suffered in the crash were major or moderate, and they did not know if drugs or alcohol was a causal factor in the collision.

Legal recourse available following the wreck

The two injured pickup truck passengers may opt to file personal injury claims against the truck driver, seeking the reimbursement of financial damages sustained in the crash. If they can establish liability before the civil court hearing the case, based upon a showing of negligence, a judge will adjudicate their claims for damages. Successfully litigated claims might lead to damage awards to cover the plaintiffs’ losses related to the California accident, such as medical bills and even the loss of wages due to being unable to work for an extended period following the crash. No amount of money can undo the events leading to the accident, but financial damage awards may help the plaintiffs to move forward from the tragedy.
