Car accident in LA claims 3 teens’ lives

Many teenagers in California and elsewhere enjoy the freedom they get from being able to drive. However, new drivers do not have the experience to avoid potential hazards on the road, and some teenagers abuse their driving privileges by speeding and otherwise acting recklessly behind the wheel. No one knows what caused a terrible single-car accident in Pasadena recently, but the crash claimed the lives of all three teenagers involved.

Accident details

Around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 16, three young men, all teenagers, were riding in a car on I-210 when the vehicle suddenly veered out of control. The car jumped a curb and ran through a fence before rolling down an embankment to the roadway below. The car ended up on its roof under the overpass.

As a result of the crash, the 17-year-old driver of the 2005 Honda and his 16-year-old passenger were declared dead at the scene. Another passenger, a 17-year-old male, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he later passed away. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Should the gathered evidence indicate the teen was acting negligently or recklessly behind the wheel, leading to the accident, the surviving family of the two deceased teen passengers can pursue wrongful death claims against the driver.
